The Quiet Crown

Sterling silver · Copper enamel · Hand-carved bezel wire · Silver solder · 2026

Inspired by the coronation brooches of British monarchs, The Quiet Crown reimagines royal regalia through a contemporary lens. The centerpiece — a domed copper enamel cabochon in deep emerald — is set within a hand-carved bezel wire worked into a tiara motif, evoking the crown effect of ceremonial jewelry while remaining entirely original. Every element was fabricated by hand in sterling silver, joined with silver solder. No molds, no casting — only metal, tools, and intention.

The Blooming Hibiscus Cuff

The Blooming Hibiscus Cuff

Copper · Sterling silver · Acid etching · Hand-hammered · 2026

The Blooming Hibiscus Cuff begins where drawing meets metalwork. A freeform copper cuff was shaped by hand, then etched using a resist technique — hibiscus vines drawn in white-out directly onto the copper surface, leaving the negative space to be chemically etched away, producing a raised, three-dimensional vine that appears to grow across the metal. At the center sits a fully fabricated sterling silver hibiscus bloom. Each petal was individually hand-sawed, domed over a mandrel, and textured with a decorative hammer to capture the organic irregularity of a real flower. The stamens — sterling silver wire with ends melted into tapered balls — were soldered one by one before the completed bloom was joined to the cuff. Every mark on this piece was made by hand.

Echoes of Bamboo in Silver

Echoes of Bamboo in Silver

Brass · Sterling silver · Metal beads · 2026

What appears to be an elegant serving fork conceals something unexpected — shake it, and it sounds like rain. Echoes of Bamboo in Silver is a functional art object inspired by the bamboo rain stick, reimagined in metal. The bamboo form was achieved by hand-forming individual loops of brass around a mandrel, each shaped by hand — a technically demanding process that produces the characteristic segmented silhouette. Sterling silver plates were soldered between each section to create tonal contrast, and a domed silver lid encloses a hollow interior filled with small metal beads. The sterling silver tines make the piece fully usable. It is at once sculpture, instrument, and utensil.
